Eligibility for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs Pensioner Concession Card (DVA PCC) is determined by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA).

The DVA PCC is available to people who are:

  • service pensioners
  • age pensioners who receive their age pension through the DVA
  • war widows and widowers receiving an income support supplement.

To be eligible, you must:

  • be receiving one of the income support pensions listed above and
  • meet Australian residency requirements.

Please note the DVA PCC does not provide access to DVA’s health care arrangements.

2016 DVA PCC changes

If you received a DVA PCC in the past, you may notice some changes compared to previous years. The DVA PCC validity period will be extended from one to two years, in line with the validity period of PCCs issued by the Department of Human Services (DHS).

This change came into effect in October 2015, when eligible card holders were issued with a new DVA PCC that is valid until 31 December 2017.
