Seniors Special Energy Bonus

The Tasmanian Government is providing a Special Energy Bonus to Tasmanians as part of its Tasmania-first energy policy. The Special Energy Bonus is a result of higher than expected returns from the Government’s energy businesses. A one off payment of $125 to help cover energy bills is being delivered to eligible households with a Pensioner Concession Card or Commonwealth Seniors Health Card.

Pensioner concession card holders registered for the Annual Electricity Concession with Aurora Energy do not need to apply to receive payment. The one-off payment is being forwarded directly to you.

Commonwealth Seniors Health Card holders were required to apply. The application period is now closed.
