    • Police record checks for volunteers

      Concession available to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria

      A reduced fee of $5 for a police record check is available to:

      • volunteers pre-approved and validated by the relevant volunteer organisation.

      Organisations must complete the ‘Declaration of Volunteer / Concession Status' on the application form for the volunteer to be able to receive the reduced fee.

    • Enduring Power of Attorney

      When the Public Trustee is appointed as the attorney, there is no charge to prepare an Enduring Power of Attorney for:

      • DHS or DVA Pensioner Concession Card holders
      • Seniors Card holders.

      Please note: This is for a standard 30 minute appointment. If your affairs are complicated or more time is required, additional time may be charged.

    • Right to Information requests

      Use a computer and access the internet for free at your local Libraries Tasmania or online access centre. Many locations also have free Wi-Fi to use with your own device.

    • Making a Will

    • No Interest Micro Business Loan Program

      The Program is available to people on low incomes (Health Care Card holders) and provides business support and small interest-free loans.

      Loans of up to $3 000 are available to assist, start or grow a small business.

    • Ticket to Play

      Department of Human Services Pension Concession Card; Department of Human Services Health Care Card; Concession available to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria

      Ticket to Play provides vouchers up to $100 in value to help with the cost of sporting club registration.

      Applicants must be:

      • living in Tasmania;
      • aged between 5 and 17 years old at the time of application; and
      • be listed on a DHS HCC (Centrelink Health Care) or Pensioner Concession Card (either their own or their own or their parent, guardian or carer's) or
      • be in Out of Home Care.

      The voucher is available for use toward the cost of membership fees at approved activity providers. Other items such as uniforms, equipment, footwear etc. are not eligible. You can apply for a voucher, check the list of approved activity providers or find more information at Ticket to Play.
