Rapid rehousing is designed to assist vulnerable people affected by family violence to access safe and affordable housing. It provides transitional accommodation (up to 12 months) at subsidised rent.
Eligibility:
- Families or individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness due to leaving a violent relationship.
- Perpetrators requiring alternative housing so the family can remain in the family home.
- Be 16 years or older and meet all other eligibility requirements for social housing, with the exception that there are no income or asset eligibility requirements for family violence rapid rehousing.
